not a hate message
I find it foolish for someone who would dedicate their time and energy for building up hate and promoting it.
The hot discussion these days is the new Malingsia nickname given to Malaysia. So Malaysia claims a couple of songs from Indonesia's traditional song collection as theirs (Jali-jali and Rasa Sayange), it's not like we never copy other countries' hardwork, we even steal from our fellow citizens (I have a painter friend who's painting was copied by God who knows who and with lacking of copyright law he's not sure how to sue, even not sure if he can sue).
If you check out a blog that's dedicated to this Malingsia issue you will see articles about what Malaysia has done, from modifying their flag from US' (and I keep wondering how we got the same flag color with Monaco. And didn't we modify from Dutch's flag, where the patriots took down the flag, ripped off the blue part and raised it again in proud, there, "sangsaka merah putih" waves majestically above the air). And of course there are hundreds of comments from both sides. The Indonesians think it's patriotic to say nasty things about the Malays, the Malays fought back and pointed out that without them those TKIs would be sorry tales in their home country.
Anyway, I'm not really interested in this debate. Nobody's perfect, no country is perfect either. Even I have to admit, at times, I'm just too ashamed to be born as Indonesian. It will never be "right or wrong is my country", my country doesn't really do much, what matters more is the individual.
So fellow Indons (oops), raise up your mirrors, and look at your own specks.Merdeka!
Crazy short dog is dead. Murdered.
The owner, a friend of mine just moved in to her new place. Nice quiet neighborhood. One afternoon she came home and as usual went to look for her crazy dog . Usually the dog stay in the house, but that day she couldn’t find it anywhere. So she went out.
She saw one of her neighbor and immediately asked, “Pak, have you seen my dog? I’ve looked everywhere..”
“Sorry mba Tin, I just killed her.”
“Whhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa….???”
So crazy dog earlier in the morning managed to get in the neighbor’s gate. She was so excited started to chase the chickens, and I would suspect catch them one by one with his teeth. Along the process the owner said the dog killed 40 little chickens!!! He didn’t care about being compensated by the incident, he was just enraged by this and immediately took out his hatchet and swung it to the dog. Dead.
My friend required for the body, but he refused, telling her to forget about her dog. Only a couple of days later another neighbor found the dead hund in the gutter. Pretty stupid throwing a corpse reckless like that.
My friend cried for 2 days, a week later she found a new dog. Said this time she got a sweet dog with good manner.
Define team work
A lot of job openings include the requirement of “has to be a team player”. The problem is companies don’t define what a team player supposed to be.
It was never required in my job. I solely work for one person.
And now the working requirement seems to be shifted suddenly some staff required me to be a team player. The strange thing is, it didn’t come from my boss. Well he’s always been result oriented, so he doesn’t care about team work or single fighter, as long as the job's done.
I don’t have problem if this is to be, I’ve worked in a team before and that experience was a very good learning process. Everybody knew their part, everybody knew the expectations and met them, everybody knew every job, everybody were willing, and as a result everybody can back up anybody who’s overloaded or unable to complete their tasks.
So now I really wonder what the other party’s definition of team work. The past few months all I can see is that it’s where people are backing her up, helping her doing her tasks, all according to her term, while she does..(God knows what).
Now I completely have a problem with that. Other people doing her work and she gets the credit? Cleaning up her s*it yet still got the blame? Isn’t life grand.. at least for her.
Well, I don’t think she’s been in any basket ball court, let alone playing in a team against another team, but with this kind of thinking, I don’t think I want to be in the same team as hers. Not in a million years.
